Bodywork: your rights

Unfortunately, accidents are part of life. If this happens to you, it is important to return your vehicle to the state it was in before the accident. And if your vehicle can no longer be driven, your first challenge is to decide what to do with it.

Fortunately, if your Toyota is still covered by the basic 3-year or 60,000 km warranty or if you purchased Roadside Assistance, just call 1 888 TOYOTA8 (1 888 869-6828) and it will ship for free to places an approved tow truck.

If you no longer have any of these options, we understand your dilemma, but to provide assistance to all Toyota owners, we invite you to call 1-888-TOYOTA8 and we will do whatever it takes to send a tow truck (at the customer's expense).

Then contact your insurance company as soon as possible after the accident. Your insurer may try to direct you to a particular body shop to obtain an estimate and / or have repairs carried out.

You are under no legal obligation to attend this workshop. Since you are the owner of the vehicle and pay the insurance premiums, you have the right to choose the body shop to which you would like to entrust the repair of your Toyota.

Be sure to let your insurance company know that as a Toyota owner you expect that:

  1. your vehicle is returned to the state it was in before the accident, using original Toyota body parts;
  2. repairs are carried out by a Toyota certified body center or by a workshop that your Toyota dealer has recommended.

Remember this:

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE THE WORKSHOP THAT WILL REPAIR YOUR VEHICLE
